Founded by Malcolm Goodman in 2001, the Lincolnshire Philharmonia Orchestra is now administered as The Orchestra of Royal Air Force Cranwell by the orchestra committee of The Band of the Royal Air Force Regiment at RAF Cranwell where it is based. Through its unique musical partnership between the professional musicians from its home base at RAF Cranwell and instrumentalists from around the region, under its internationally acclaimed guest conductors, the orchestra ensures that the opportunity and experience of the full symphonic repertoire is now accessible to the wider community.

The orchestra is conducted by Richard Murray and Kenneth Bell and its Principal Guest Conductor Roderick Dunk.

Although the orchestra currently has some vacancies for violin players, applications for all instruments are always welcome using the online application form...

Rehearsals generally take place at 3-weekly intervals on Wednesday evenings in the bandroom of the RAF Regiment Band from 7.30 - 9.45pm. Orchestral members should be aware that the security arrangements at Royal Air Force Cranwell require that all personnel are in possession of a special security pass to gain access to the base to attend rehearsals, therefore prior notification of attendance is required.

For further information please email the Lincolnshire Philharmonia Office or contact Richard Murray (Chairman) Tel. 07930 464455.
